Ayya had a mixed band with Polynesian and Maldivian elements and he was looking for two additional parts to be placed above and below it as an extension to the existing tattoo.
These new bands take inspiration from traditional lacquer works for the Maldivian parts, including some red accents, and from Polynesian tattoos for the rest, with the aniata motif representing ancestors, fish for prosperity, and spearheads and shark teeth for the warrior, strength, and adaptability.
