This Polynesian style armband was designed for Walter and it represents a new beginning for his family after a period marked by difficulties.
In the part linked to the past we placed thorns and a symbol that represents pain to indicate the difficulties encountered.
From there, the hammerhead shark symbolizes tenacity and determination, as it begins the path of Kamehameha which indicates a difficult course full of challenges, ultimately leading to success.
The tiki gives strength to the turtle (the family) bringing happiness (the sun) and change (the waves) bringing a new life symbolized by the frangipani with the koru.
The manta ray with the Marquesan cross and the braids represent this new harmony and union, and a dot indicates its importance.
The octopus tentacles and spearheads symbolize tenacity and adaptability in facing difficulties.
Fish and fish hook are symbols of prosperity, while the ancestors, the all-seeing eye, and shark teeth (and the tiki itself) are symbols of protection watching over the family.
