This band tattoo requested by Marco represents his connection with his own roots: his family and his homeland, the Salento area, from where he left but which he always carries in his heart wherever he goes.
The word "tāmore" means having strong roots, and also being bald, because like for a tree, having strong roots helps facing any storm.
The central part includes a sunmoon (impossible becoming possible) incorporating an ipu to symbolize the wind, waves for the sea and mountains for the land (a land of sun, sea and wind).
Sun rays cross the whole armband and they include a row of birds for the voyages that gave him a new perspective, the ani ata motif is for his ancestors, who connect him to his land, and spear heads symbolize the warrior.
Other elements symbolize prosperity and adaptability (coconut leaves and shark teeth).
The four enata inside the shell of the turtle represent Marco and his family members while the braid is for the union they share.
The tiki on the sides protect them from every direction.
