The leatherback turtle, or lute turtle, is the biggest sea turtle.
We used it as a base for Ivan´s tattoo to represent his family.

The parents are depicted in the front flippers, embracing and protecting the family, with their children´s initials between them on the shell.
The braid and the flax leaves symbolize family unity, the chasing birds represent support to the loved ones, and the all-seeing eye is a protection against all evil.

The back flippers include a lizard for good luck and a sea shell for love and prosperity.

The sun around the turtle is a symbol of joy and eternity.
