Hibiscus flowers symbolize beauty and femininity, joy and carpe diem, having a sun around as a symbol of eternity and joy.
The seashell on its right represents intimacy and love while the manaia guards on voyaging (the row of birds, with the last two bolder ones chasing each other to represent the couple and help granted to the loved ones).
On the left, the lizard indicates protection and good luck, and it has a twist in it.
Fish symbolize prosperity, mountains stability and shark teeth adaptability and protection.
Korus are symbols of life and new start while the stars around the flower shape the Southern Cross, symbol of Australia where the voyage took place.
This design was prepared for Laura to cover a scar on her arm.
We used a bit of color for the central hibiscus in order to make the design more elegant and better cover the part where the scar was more evident.
