We were requested a Marquesan styled tattoo to represent inner strength and family protection, and to symbolize an accident which caused an ear to become deaf. The hammerhead shark represents strength and the tiki is a symbol of protection, included in this case into the shell of a turtle, representing a safe environment, family. The black area on the tiki represents the results of the accident.

The shark´s tail was thought to surround the ankle, developing the tattoo on the side of the calf.
