This modern Polynesian style tattoo was designed for David and it includes several elements related to the practice of mindfulness.
The turtle is in the center of the outer part of the arm and it has on its shell the yin-yang made out of a wave, along with a Marquesan cross that symbolizes harmony and balance.
Above, the couple is surrounded by a braid that symbolizes union, with a sun and friends around them as they bring their happiness to others.
The two enata below the turtle represent David and his niece, with stepping stones to symbolize how he teaches him while they play, with two tiki on the sides for protection.
On the inner part of the arm, there is a monk meditating in a lotus flower, with a sun made of mountains around him to indicate peace and stability through meditation.
The valley at the base symbolizes solitude, the inner isolation that leads to happiness through knowledge (the path to knowledge), step by step (the ahuahu o Mataora motif).
On the back part, the lizard represents the ability to see the invisible, and the manta on the front part symbolizes the freedom achieved, with a star showing its importance.
