This Polynesian tattoo that spirals around the arm was prepared for Antonio and it represents his journey and his land, Sardinia.
Thorns at the beginning stand for difficulties, with waves as a symbol of change and birds indicating a voyage that took him far from his land, which remains a reference (the island of Sardinia is represented in the center of the shoulder, with four enata inside it symbolizing the four Moors on its flag).
Along the journey we find the couple, with the lizard and tiki for protection and good luck, while shark teeth and octopus tentacles symbolize adaptability, strength, and tenacity.
The stones that go along the entire spiral around the arm represent each lesson learnt, and the Marquesan cross symbolizes the harmony found with a new life (the koru) and new happiness (the sun) while the coconut leaves at the top indicate the prosperity achieved.
